MOUNTAIN DEEP

As in The Circle Project, this body of work has its origins in a scientific facility for particle physics. The Laboratori Nazionali del Gran Sasso.

The Grand Sasso is a mountain range in Abruzzo, Italy and the Corno Grande is with nearly 3000 m the highest mountain of this massif. The National Institute for Nuclear Physics (INFN) operates there the LNGS. To shield the particle experiments from cosmic radiation, it is located mountain deep.
